In the Kitchen with Firestone Walker Brewery

Many fantastic vendors will be supplying our guests with gourmet food, wine and beer samples at the Sacramento Chef Challenge on June 23, 2012.  Today, we are proud to introduce you to one of our very special vendors:

Firestone Walker Brewery

Out of the vineyards of California’s central coast, Firestone Walker Brewing Company has grown to become an authentic regional craft brewer. They integrate traditional brewing disciplines, a fascination with wooden barrels, and a passion for brewing to create some of the most awarded craft brews in the world. Firestone Walker believes their commitment to balanced and unique beers has helped fuel the revolution in taste that is sweeping across America.

It all started in 1996 when brothers-in-law Adam Firestone and David Walker decided they wanted to try their hand at making beer. They started experimenting with brewing in oak barrels at the winery in Los Olivos and while their first few endeavors were not so successful, they were hooked. Since then the name of Firestone has grown into a world-class brewery with the help of Brewmaster Matt Brynildson at the helm. After more than 15 years they are still at in the heart of the Central Coast in Paso Robles wine country making some of the world’s best craft beer.

Firestone Walker invites craft beer novices and aficionados alike to come visit our tasting room and brand new restaurant located right at the brewery in Paso Robles. They pride themselves on providing a premier tasting experience through a state of the art draft system and knowledgeable staff.
